As usual, my friend Kenzie did an amazing job with her hair and makeup. She did a fabulous job smoothing Mackenzie's skin out and making her lips and eyes pop. Even though it was cold, we managed to do three outfit changes, and moved to various areas of the park. I hope to have Mackenzie again for her senior portraits, because she was so much fun to work with and pose.
For my second model, Mackenzie, her shoot was even colder than the photo shoot with Taylor! Once again, these girls rocked it, and pushed through the cold, so amazingly well. For Mackenzie, I decided to make something that would fit well for the scenery. Wildwood Metropark, in Toledo Ohio, is a beautiful place with lots of options for background settings. It was the open fields that I was the most interested in. I made a cape/ coat for precisely for this backdrop. I wanted something that almost looked like it was from a fairy tale. The coat had a furry hood that was very wide open and loose on her, to really frame her face. I met Mackenzie when I was asked to do photos for a performance at Bedford High School, and I immediately noticed how beautiful and unique a look she had. So when she volunteered for this shoot I knew her images would be gorgeous.
