No matter what the light situation, I have you covered. I pride myself on being able to make your senior portraits unique in any light and at any location. This is important to me, and something I have worked hard on and trained for. Making sure that we can choose locations no matter what the light looks. Whether its natural light, indoors, instudio, gloomy days. I use light so you are evenly lit and look beautiful. I have learned from some of the best in the business for years to be able to bring that knowledge and expereince to you. It is one of my signature looks!

BEHIND THE SCENES

I want your senior portraits to be an unforgettable and fun. Behind the scenes video are an amazing way to bring back memories and allow you to relive that time in your life. You are only 17 years old once! There are so many things I wish I had photos or videos of when I waas in high school. These video snippets are a window into your shoot and your memories. Something that captures your spirit and your personality.

You’ll know exactly what you’re getting from the start. After your session, an online proof gallery will be sent to you to make your final selections. Having an even makeup application can either make or break your images. Pro application means your skin complexion is even, bright and flawless.

Choosing a season for your senior pictures can be just as important as the outfits you pick and the mood you want. Why is season important? There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a season. What do you want as a setting in your photos? Do you want green grass, lush trees, sunshine, flowers, fall color? What kind of outfits are your favorites? How well does your hair handle humidity? Bet you werent expecting that last one. We all know our bodies really well. Better than anyone else. I always suggest keeping certain things in mind when choosing a season, especially how well your body handles weather conditions. So here are a few pro’s and con’s to think about when selecting a season or a month. This comes from many years experience and many clients 🙂

Choosing a Season

Spring

PROS: Spring is one of my favorite times to shoot, but the least chosen season. The flowering trees are unmatched!! It makes for such stunning images. The bushes are also coming into bloom with bright beautiful flowers. If you are a flower person, this is your season! The sun and heat is much softer and calmer. The humidity wont be so harsh on your hair and make it frizz or fall.

CONS: It rains a bit more in the spring, but usually not as much in May. It can be a bit chillier in May still in Ohio. Usually in the 50-70’s.

Summer

PROS: Summer is green central! If you want green trees, water, beaches, and fields, this is the season for you. Since it is warmer, beaches are much better to shoot in summer. Although beaches are a bit windier. But those summer breezes add a very natural look to images. It will always be warmer, and usually pretty sunny. Those summer dresses and outfits will be perfect here. If you want Sunflowers, August is your month!

CONS: It can get really humid. If your hair doesn't handle heat well or you sweat a lot more, this might not be your best bet. Urban areas can get very warm because of all the concrete. The sun can be hard to manage if you have sensitive eyes. And we might have to shoot in select shady spots as well.

Fall

PROS: Are snugly sweaters, scarves, fall dresses, colors and apple orchards your favorite? Mine too!! Fall is a great time to shoot as well because the heat calms down a bit, and the colors start popping out in October. It will still be warm enough for some of those dresses, but cool enough for snuggle wear. Fall brings extra locations into play like pumpkin patches and multi-colored forests.

CONS: When the weather shifts, so does the weather, and that means wind. It can be windier in the fall. I t usually doesn't get too cold until mid-late October. Also, watch those yearbook photo deadlines!

Winter

PROS: Do you want to look like a stunning ice queen or snow princess? This is your season. Also, wearing bright colors in the snow is breathtaking. Most people avoid winter, unless they get a PLUS session just for a quick shoot in the snow.

CONS: Brrrrrr........hope you like it cold. The cold can make your nose turn pink, bring shivers and red fingers. If you are not a cold person, avoid this season.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Along with the email you recieved there is a link that takes you directly to my online booking calendar. Step 1: You choose your session type a book. Step 2: Use your email confirmation to go in and select your date in the calendar. Done 🙂

WHEN DO I SEE MY PROOFS?

A week after your session you will get your session proof link. Take your time. Sit down with friends and family to slect your favorites. You will email me your choices. I will edit them to perfection for you. And your final images will be sent to you in a final gallery.

HOW LONG DO ORDERS TAKE?

Once an order is placed, it can take 3-4 weeks for the order to be processed, edited, printed and shipped. Once an order comes in, I check it to make sure it is ready for you to take home and send you an email.

WILL YOU EDIT MY IMAGES?

Of course! Once you choose your favorites from our proofs, I will prepare all the final edits for you.

WHAT DO TYPICAL ORDERS COST?

All-Inclusive, your order is already pre determined. You will know the exact price and what is included!

HOW DO YOU PICK LOCATIONS?

We pick locations based on you! You have a unique style, likes and dislikes. We put together a mood board, style your outfits and talk about what places will fit your personality best. Above all....I look for light and what will flatter you the most!

HOW DO I PLAN?

You will get a welcome packet once you book to help you repare and shop. You will send me a mood board and have a styling appointment to pick out clothes and locations. Please hang onto this guide to refer back for details about sessions, product pricing etc.

I WANT TO GO TO ANN ARBOR OR DETROIT FOR MY PHOTOS, DO YOU TRAVEL?

Shooting in bigger cities is so much fun! And I sure do! Travel can be added to my Silver and Gold All-Inclusive packages. Please be aware, there is an additional travel charge of $125- $250 for locations over an hour away. Depending on the distance.

MAKEUP and HAIR?

Makeup and hair can be added to any HOP session. It is not required but HIGHLY recommend. The reason I love pro makeup, is so you look amazing and I dont have to over edit you. I want you to look natural. That is what Pro Makeup does!
